Meet in the parking lot, which is located within Dyer Park (Google Map).The run will cover approximately 3 miles and take participants through a variety of habitats on a combination of hardened and primitive trails.Winding Waters is an over 500-acre natural area containing a diversity of habitats, such as mesic flatwoods, hydric hammock, depression marsh, wet prairie, and dome swamp. Several areas were cleared for agricultural purposes and have been restored to shallow-water and deep-water marshes. Birdlife is abundant with bald eagles, anhingas, green herons, belted kingfishers, wood storks, roseate spoonbills, and loggerhead shrikes making appearances.We will provide water at the start/stop, please bring water bottle.
