She also qualified as a British Veterinary Nurse in 1983. Her direction has changed since living in Australia and she has worked as a Local Law/Animal Management Officer for 10 years. This has enabled her to be aware of animal behavior and meet the needs of the industry regarding Occupational Health and Safety. For the last three years, Alison has been volunteering with Animal Aid Abroad in Indonesia, repairing tack and educating the locals on looking after both their saddlery and harness items and their horses.Since arriving in Australia in 1985 she has made saddlery items for the NSW Mounted Police, numerous dog muzzles for industry and individual clients, protected dog harnesses as well as the occasional rat harness!
