'Whitsunday Rhythms' by Art Whitsunday Inc.

‘Whitsunday Rhythms’ is a collaboration by Art Whitsunday Inc artists, highlighting their personal interpretation of ‘rhythm’ as it presents in the Whitsundays.

As a design principle, rhythm resonates as strong, regular repeated patterns, movements and sounds in our natural and manmade environments in intriguing ways.

Inspired by rhythms of choice, each artist has created original artworks in their authentic style.

Subject matter could be as diverse as the beats and pulses of living things, water rhythms, reef fish patterns, sugar cane rows, coral spawning, rhythmic seasonal changes, repetitive creature calls and tracks on surfaces.

This exhibition is on display Wednesday, July 2 to Sunday, August 3 in the Lagoons Gallery within the Botanic Gardens Café.
