Winter Solstice Ceremony
Cacao, Hawthorn, Qi Gong & Sound Journey
Join us on the shortest day and the longest night as we gather to honour the turning of the wheel, a moment of deep stillness before the light returns. Together, we’ll enter the heart of winter with presence, gratitude, and intention.
This sacred ceremony invites reflection, release, and renewal through the alchemy of ceremonial cacao, hawthorn elixir, qi gong movement, and sound healing.
Reflections on the Solstice
The Winter Solstice is a powerful threshold, a pause between darkness and light. It reminds us to embrace stillness, to listen inwardly, and to trust in the cycles of rebirth. As the Earth tilts toward the returning sun, we too can rekindle our inner flame and plant the seeds for the year to come.
Ceremonial Cacao: The Feminine Heart Opener
Cacao, often called the food of the gods, is a highly nutritious plant medicine that gently opens the heart and deepens connection to self, to others, and to spirit.
Rich in magnesium, theobromine, and bliss-inducing compounds, cacao enhances mood, focus, and presence.
Energetically, she carries a soft, feminine essence, inviting gentle emotional release, compassion, and creativity.
In ceremony, cacao helps us journey from the mind into the heart, supporting authentic connection and inner alignment.
Hawthorn: The Masculine Heart Protector
Hawthorn is a sacred tree in Celtic lore, guardian of the heart and keeper of boundaries.
Physically, it strengthens the cardiovascular system and supports circulation.
Spiritually, it acts as a protector and balancer, grounding the open-hearted energy of cacao with a sense of strength, safety, and discernment.
Together, cacao and hawthorn embody the divine balance of feminine and masculine, creating a heart-centered field of love and integrity.
Qi Gong: Cultivating Life Force
Qi Gong is an ancient Taoist practice that harmonizes body, breath, and energy.
Through flowing movements and mindful breathing, we awaken Qi (life force), clear stagnation, and restore inner balance.
In the stillness of winter, Qi Gong helps us align with the season’s inward, nurturing energy, replenishing vitality and grounding intention into the body.
Sound Healing: The Frequency of Light
We’ll open with singing to uplift our emotions, and close with a sound journey using crystal bowls, flutes, chimes, and voice to carry us into deep rest and integration.
Sound vibrations recalibrate the nervous system, dissolve energetic blocks, and invite the body into resonance with harmony and peace. As the frequencies ripple through, they help us to deeply rest and attune to the returning light, both within and around us.
A Space of Heart, Stillness & Renewal
Come as you are.
Bring warmth, openness, and an intention for the light you wish to call in.
Together, we’ll honour the stillness of the dark, celebrate the return of the sun, and remember the steady rhythm of nature within us all. ♡
