We’re excited to host the Old Time and Bluegrass Radio Show at the Ashe Civic Center once a month on Saturday morning, just a little after eleven. This event is free and open to the public, with donations gratefully accepted. The Ashe Civic Center has accessible parking and seating.

Rooted in the mountains of southwest Virginia, Wayne Henderson is widely regarded as one of the finest acoustic guitarists and instrument makers in the world. Known for his remarkable fingerstyle technique, his playing carries the drive and clarity of flatpicking, bringing new life to old-time tunes, bluegrass standards, and beyond.
A master luthier as well as a celebrated performer, Henderson’s handcrafted guitars are prized for their exceptional tone and are sought after by musicians across the globe. Despite international recognition, including the prestigious National Heritage Fellowship, he remains deeply connected to his Grayson County roots, where music is as much about community as it is about craft.

For this performance, Henderson is joined by friends, an ever-changing lineup of outstanding musicians, often including acclaimed player Randy Greer, making each concert a one-of-a-kind gathering of talent, tradition, and spontaneity.
