Movie Night: Point Break

The Electric Sock Hop, a weeklong pop-up produced by Desmond's Tiki Tube Amps, is pleased to host a viewing of the classic surf film Point Break, starring Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze.

One of the great spirited movies of its age, Point Break follows Johnny Utah (Reeves) as an undercover FBI agent who...has to surf to break up a crime ring.

It's classic, it's rousing, it's a little silly. Just our style 👍

The film will be showcased on DVD (ha!) projected through an HD projector, with sound playback through a custom-built Tiki Tube Amp and brand-new Atomic Hi-Fi Speakers handmade by Desmond's Tiki Tube Amps.

❤️30% of ticket sales will be donated to LA City Animal Shelters. The shelters are chronically underfunded and overworked. The folks there care a lot about animals and we need to help them. I adopted my own cat from the shelter.

About the Electric Sock Hop

The Electric Sock Hop is a weeklong pop-up bringing the Tiki Tube Experience to life. Hosted and curated by Tiki Tube Amps founder Desmond Bowe, the Electric Sock Hop brings together the finest local artists to create a new home concept, a room for real living. Stop in, have a pastry, stay a while, and consider untold possibilities.

The pop-up runs from December 5-11. It is open for free to the public from noon-6pm daily, and from 7-10pm hosts a series of private, ticketed events including an album listening party, movie night, Tiki Night, and more. See the full schedule here.
