# Event Details - **Event Name**: BOC End of Year Whitewater Rafting - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 15 May, 2026 at 03:00 pm – Fri, 15 May, 2026 at 05:00 pm (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Wrap up your academic year by joining the Bates Outing Club for an epic adventure on the Dead River!About this EventJoin the Bates Outing Club for an end-of-year adventure to the Whitewater center of Maine, The Forks! This overnight trip will leave campus on Friday, May 15th at 3pm and travel to Three Rivers Whitewater's Kennebec Outpost, about a two hour drive from campus. Once there, we will set up tents while the staff at Three Rivers prepares dinner for us. After dinner- lawn games, ping pong, campfires, general merriment!Saturday, May 16th will start with an early breakfast and then get ready to RAFT!!! Wetsuits, boots, and all necessary gear will be provided before we hop on a bus to drive to the river. Guides will spend the next few hours taking us down the rapids of the Dead River! Following lunch, we will pack up camp and get ready to head back to campus! We will arrive back on campus around dinner time on May 16th.If the out-of-pocket cost for this trip is a barrier to attendance, students may be eligible for the , which is designed to support student engagement in club/org events that require an out of pocket expense!
