Summer Sundays are back for their fourth season! Join us every Sunday evening this summer at the Jamie Hurd Amphitheater as it comes alive with free live music from talented local artists. From 6 to 8 pm, a different band will take the stage each week to get your toes tapping and your hands clapping.
Each concert also features a rotating lineup of food trucks offering delicious meals and treats to complement the music and make your evening even more enjoyable. Food trucks will begin serving at 5 pm, so come early, grab dinner, and settle in for a great night of entertainment.
Taking the stage this week is The Juan & Only, a seasoned performer with over 15 years of experience, including entertaining audiences worldwide as a cruise line musician. Now a proud member of the local Iowa music scene, he captivates audiences as a one-man band, using a guitar looper and effects to create a full-band sound. He also performs as a duo with his dad, “Papi,” on percussion. Expect a lively mix of rock, country, pop, reggae, and Latin music that’s perfect for all ages.
Dinner this week is served by Karam’s Mediterranean Grill, a favorite across the Des Moines metro. They bring delicious shawarma, gyros, wraps, BBQ chicken and more, flavorful Mediterranean dishes sure to satisfy your appetite. For dessert, Fruits n Such offers a refreshing selection of fresh fruit, delicious smoothies, and their popular apple nachos, a perfect, wholesome treat to cool you down and satisfy your sweet tooth.
