Diagnosed with retinoblastoma as a child, Jake lost his eyesight at age twelve but refused to let blindness define his future. A lifelong USC football fan, Jake went on to inspire millions by becoming the first completely blind Division I college football player, serving as the long snapper for USC and proving that perseverance can overcome even the greatest obstacles.As a Swim With Mike scholarship recipient, Jake experienced firsthand the life‑changing impact of the foundation’s support.
