- **Event Description**: Join the City of West Chicago in its historic downtown area for West Chicago's annual winter festival, Frosty Fest. Each year the event kicks off with the City’s official Tree Lighting Ceremony followed by a number of fun activities for all ages to enjoy. If you’re looking for a fun event to greet the holiday season while enjoying that first cup of hot chocolate with family and friends then make sure to visit West Chicago this holiday season.

The Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place at 4:30 p.m. in front of the Fox Community Center (306 Main St). Kramer Tree Specialists celebrates its 16th year as the sponsor for the Official Tree decorating. CAPE (Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education) Students decorated the displayed wooden candy canes. The first 500 guests will receive 3D glasses. The Chicago Carolers to perform.

• The Chicago Carolers (4:30 – 5:30)
• Frosty, Reindeer, and gingerbread man characters available for photos 
• Funny Little People – Elves available for photos (5:30 – 6:00)
• Live Ice sculpture carving
• Alpacas
• Reindeer
• Electric train
• Curling
• Carols sung by Faith Community Church 

Food Vendors:
• Churro Babe's - churros, cheese curds, funnel cakes, and more 
• Nick's Pizza Truck - pizza 
• La Cocina de Maria – tamales, tacos, quesadillas, pozole, flan

Heated Tent:
Purchase from the food vendors and enjoy your meal inside the heated tent!

Republic Bank (101 Main Street):
Visits with Mr. & Mrs. Claus begin after the tree lighting ceremony. Sip on some Hot Cocoa sponsored by Rotary Club and munch on popcorn sponsored by Lions Club & West Chicago Parks Foundation. Carols sung by New Hope United Methodist Church of West Chicago. People Made Visible Snowflake Project – has 650 pieces on it after 2024, let’s see how many more we can get this year!
