When Missa Latina meets Kibitz

Prepare to Expect the Unexpected as Coro Amici, a thrilling mixed choir of over 70 voices from West and South Yorkshire, presents a sensational afternoon of classical music in the magnificent Marble Saloon at Wentworth Woodhouse. Led by inspirational musical director Jane Hobson, the choir will perform a range of classical works infused with jazz influences, with the centrepiece being Missa Latina by Bobbi Fischer - a dazzling fusion of Argentinian tangos, Caribbean rhythms and Latin jazz. They will be joined by Kibitz a vibrant 5 piece klezmer band from Leeds with gypsy jazz flavours, who will perform their own energetic and soulful Eastern European pieces. Set within one of England’s most extraordinary rooms - 60 feet square and soaring 40 feet high, this promises to be a truly unforgettable musical experience.
