Join us for a jam-packed week of drum, dance, doundoun dance and kora with West African Masters Epizo Bangoura & Sibo Bangoura! We are excited to share with you another year of camp FARETA, set in the pristine and beautiful bushland within the historic town of Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains, where we will be hosted by our friends at Happy Buddha Retreat! We have an exciting week of masterclasses planned and we will be performing what we learn throughout the week on Thursday 1st of October with a night of live music and dance. Your teachers ============ Born in Guinea (West Africa ) into a family of Griots, brothers Epizo and Sibo are passionate advocates for the culture of their homeland. As Griots they continue the family responsibility to maintain and share the knowledge of Guinean culture and carry on the tradition of master musicianship, oral history and storytelling. Epizo and Sibo are highly sought after musicians and teachers around the world, spending their lives teaching and performing both traditional and contemporary music and dance in Australia and Internationally. As fun and gracious teachers, Epizo and Sibo welcome students of all levels of musical backgrounds and experience. We do have some available to borrow, but it will be first in, first served. ** BOOK SESSIONS DIRECTLY WITH EPIZO Email: epizob@yahoo.com ACCOMMODATION AND FOOD ========= Happy Buddha Retreats is offering a Flexible option choosing 1 to 5 nights subsidized of $90 /per night, including three vegetarian meals per day, a twin-share room and yoga. This is a subsidized rate, conditional to purchasing at least two workshops daily. You'll have access to the pool, chill out zen den and local hikes during your stay. You can stay the entire week or just a couple of nights. It’s up to you! *** Parents - this retreat is open to Children as long as they are supervised at all times. You can bring up to 2 kids (12 and under) to stay with you in your booked room. Please BYO camp bed and sheets. The cost is $10 per child per night including food. Kids can participate in sessions for free. For teenagers 13+ please book the subsidized nightly stay fee and book tuition packages. Family with unsupported children will be asked to leave the retreat Centre.
