Delegates must be fit and able to participate*The Emergency First Aid at Work qualification, which conforms with HSE guidance, provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by emergency first aid responders in most workplaces, giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.The qualification meets the requirements for training emergency first-aid responders in those organisations that have identified that staff need to be trained to this level within their first-aid needs assessment. The qualification covers knowledge such as the roles and responsibilities of the emergency first aid responder, how to assess an incident and recognising signs and symptoms of injury. The qualification also covers first aid skills in CPR and use of an AED. In line with guidance provided by the HSE, the qualification supports/approves emergency workplace first aid responders for a period of 3 years, after which point delegates will need to retake the course. Therefore, the qualification is valid for 3 years from the date of award.
