Spring Equinox Sunset Swim

Celebrate the arrival of spring with a special Sunset Swim at Alderford Lake on Friday, 20th March.

As the seasons change and daylight stretches a little longer, take the opportunity to experience the lake in a peaceful and refreshing setting. Whether you’re a regular swimmer or simply looking for a unique way to mark the equinox, this event offers the perfect chance to embrace the transition into spring.

The cafe will be open throughout the evening to enjoy hot food and drink after your swim.

Wearing a tow float is mandatory, and we invite you to put fairy lights inside.

Please note the water temperature is low at this time of year, so please ensure you are used to swimming in cold temperatures. Be sure to bring warm clothes for after and ensure you have the correct equipment with you.

Gates will open at 5pm, with the sunset expected around 6:30pm
