Learn to make salsa and tomato canning

Come and join Mandy Sandbach of SOULfully SOIL at the River John Community garden located at the Community Support Society/Food and Health center in River John Nova scotia to learn the Basics of how to make your own salsa and canned tomatoes.

Participants will go home with knowledge and resources to support their unique canning journey.

The River John Community Garden is in its 2nd year of growth and as we continue to expand and serve our community, we would like to offer these " by donation" workshops and classes to help community learning. One of our mandates is to increase knowledge and skill sharing in the areas of sustainable growing, food harvesting and preservation.

This workshop will be held Tuesday September 23rd 6 pm start on site at 2456 River John station road in Welsford. The class will run from 6-730 pm. This workshop will be indoors and demonstration style

This workshop is being held by donation with a suggested donation of $15 going towards future workshops, skills shares, garden supplies and programming. The idea for these knoweldge shares, is to offer barrier free programming. If you are in a postion to be able to offer a donation of cash or food, we would gladly accept.
