YOGA for Endometriosis ~ Workshop

Increasingly common, this menstrual disorder affects 1 in 10 women and can have a detrimental impact on fertility.There is no known cure, but there are ways to reduce the severity of symptoms and improve quality of life.
Join Emma Geard, Urban Yoga Teacher and Mother, in a 2.5 hour workshop looking at the nature of this disease from the perspective of western medicine, Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine.
Learn how yoga and breathing techniques can help to ease imbalances specific to endometriosis. Explore restorative shapes that ignite the bodies natural self-healing abilities to improve general well-being.
In this workshop we will cover:
- The nature of endometriosis as understood by western medicine,
Ayurveda and traditional Chinese medicine.
- Yoga, including asana, pranayama and meditation practices to help
correct imbalances and and reverse the process of the disease.
- Techniques based in yoga and myofascial release to help relieve
- The appropriate stage in your cycle for each of the practices.
Whether you are totally new to Yoga or have a regular practice this workshop offers you are chance to reconnect with your body and discover new ways of honoring your femininity.
