Local artist Tayla Hartemink has designed a series of unique stamps featuring beautiful native manu and ika, perfect for decorating cards, and printing fabric and clothing.

A limited amount of materials will be provided, but we encourage you to bring your own T-shirts, tote bags, tea towels, or other fabric items to personalise with these stunning designs.

Tayla Hartemink (Tūhoe) is a multi-media artist, illustrator and creative workshop facilitator based in Te-Whanganui-ā-Tara. Tayla’s work is rooted in a deep connection to whakapapa and indigenous storytelling. Her work incorporates graphic design, painting, print-making and traditional motifs. Through her artwork she hopes to inspire and empower people to connect with Te Ao Māori.

Suitable for all ages— drop in, get hands-on, and make something colourful to take home!

This event will be held on the 9th and 10th of April, 10am-3pm in the Zealandia Visitor Centre Foyer. Normal admission to the sanctuary applies. Overflow parking is available on Birdwood Street.
