The Undercurrent is now hosting the Wellington Calling Open Mic and we're looking for diverse acts to contribute! Each performer gets the chance to have a six-minute set with a microphone, guitar and piano provided. This is an originals only event. We want to encourage new creative voices to be heard. “We want to provide a positive and encouraging environment for established and fledgling acts to shine in. It's a pretty inspiring place to perform,” says host Steven Hood.

Each performer will need to sign up in person before 7pm and registrations of interest need to be emailed to openwandw@gmail.com before April 23.

The feature act is Noah Bryn, a singer songwriter, composer, guitarist and producer from Wellington, who makes music drawing influences from folk, jazz, rock, funk, blues and soul. Currently studying as a composition major at the New Zealand School Of Music, Noah is always experimenting with music, forging a sound unique to his musical journey.
