Info: Bernard Farrington is a Laboratory Manager at Shelby Wright Test Labs while also working as a Senior Specialist at Oculus Architectural Engineering. He specialises in building enclosure performance, testing, and practical detailing, combining hands-on technical experience with consulting expertise to support high-performance construction and improved building outcomes.
Info: Stijn has 25 years of experience in external envelopes and was involved in the design and construction of projects on 5 continents, before settling in New Zealand 15 years ago. His expertise includes building materials, façade system development, project delivery and remedial work.
Info: Jesse Clarke holds more than 15 years of experience in the construction industry. He holds the technical lead role of the Innovation and R&D Manager, servicing pro clima in New Zealand and Australia. Jesse is an active advocate for a holistic approach to the development of industry guidance, standards and codes.
Info: Prof. Hartwig M. Künzel is Head of the Hygrothermics Department at the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (IBP) in Germany and an Honorary Professor at the University of Stuttgart. With a PhD in Civil Engineering, he has led pioneering research on heat and moisture transport in building envelopes for over three decades. Prof. Künzel is the creator of the internationally recognised WUFI hygrothermal simulation model and has contributed extensively to building standards and best practices for moisture control, energy efficiency, and indoor comfort. He has authored hundreds of publications and is a sought-after speaker at international conferences, sharing expertise that bridges scientific research and practical application in building physics.
Info: Brian Hubbs is a Founder, Principal, and Senior Building Science Specialist at RDH Building Science. With over 30 years of experience as a consultant practicing exclusively in the field of building science, he is a practical façade engineer and researcher. He has broad experience with a variety of building enclosure systems, delivering consistent innovative solutions. Brian brings a unique blend of theoretical and hands-on knowledge gained from designing façades for new buildings, as well as completing hundreds of forensic investigations, rehabilitation, and research projects. He has extensive experience with high-rise and iconic façade systems, components, and materials, designing new and innovative facade systems for high-rise wood and Passive House projects.
