The Government's proposal to spend up to $3.8 billion on a plan that includes two new tunnels – one through Mt Victoria and the other under The Terrace - is potentially disastrous for our city.

Rongotai MP Julie Anne Genter and Wellington Central MP Tamatha Paul believe it's not too late to push for the sustainable transport future we deserve. 

As a result, they're holding a public meeting with the Mt Vic Residents' Association to raise awareness of the impact of NZTA’s plans for Pōneke.

In addition to the constituency MPs, speakers will include Senior Fellow with Motu Research Dr Stuart Donovan, transport planner and former Wellington City Councillor Chris Calvi-Freeman and others.
