Former Poet Laureate Jenny Bornholdt

Poet, academic, biographer, editor, anthologist, critic, literary scholar and cricket writer Harry Ricketts

Multi-award-winning poet, novelist and short story writer Janis Freegard

Editor and poetry teacher at the International Institute of Modern Letters at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington James Brown

Sir Julius Vogel Award winner for Best Collected Work and the 2010 recipient of the NZSA Janet Frame Memorial Award for Literature, Tim Jones

Co-founder of both The Cuba Press and Mākaro Press, novelist, children’s author, poet , songwriter and NZ Book Award winner Mary McCallum

Winner of the Windam-Campbell Prize from Yale University and the Royal Society Te Apārangi Award for General Non-Fiction, acclaimed poet Ashleigh Young is also an editor at Te Herenga Waka University Press.

And Sudha Rao. Sudha trained in classical South Indian dance and established Dance Aotearoa New Zealand. She completed an MA in Creative Writing at the International Institute of Modern Letters and published her first collection of poems, On Elephant’s Shoulders in 2022.
