We’re throwing a full pool‑party takeover at Thorndon Pool, bringing the summer party vibes, and you’re invited to dive straight into the action!
We’ve got DJ beats echoing across the water 🎧, summer inflatables cruising around the pool 💦, games and challenges running all evening 🎯, volleyball setup for anyone keen to jump in 🏐, and awesome spot prizes up for grabs 🎁.
Entry is just $5 for everyone.
Grab your mates, bring the whānau, or rock up solo - the whole event is all about fun. Swim, float, dance, challenge someone to a game, or simply enjoy the summer atmosphere. Whether you're splashing in or lounging out, it’s your night to make waves.

Our Community Pools Splash Bash parties are all about celebrating the end of each school term with a burst of fun, music, and good vibes - and everyone’s invited.
These events happen on the last Saturday before the school holidays each term, and the party rotates across our Community Pools: Freyberg (or Thorndon), Tawa, Karori, and Keith Spry.
Each venue brings its own flavour, and every Splash Bash feels a little different - but always full of energy.
For 2026, here are your Splash Bash dates with pool locations to be confirmed: 28 March (Thorndon Pool), 27 June, 19 September, 12 December
