- **Event Start and End Date**: Wed, 21 Oct, 2026 at 08:00 pm – Wed, 21 Oct, 2026 at 09:30 pm (+13:00)
- **Event Description**: Award-winning political satirist Sameena Zehra. Columnist and three-time Test the Nation winner Raybon Kan. 2025 NZ Comedy Festival breakout Mo Munn.

Part of James Nokise's 2026 election tour.

Some say art shouldn't be political. This show isn't that. A lineup of comedians with short, sharp political takes — Now Hear This offers a night where the audience can enjoy comedy that's specifically, unapologetically political.

Not every comedian is a political comedian, but most have some pretty funny opinions on the state of the world. This celebration of speaking truth to power is as much an outlet for the performers as it is for the audience.

Hosted by Sameena Zehra, featuring Raybon Kan, Mo Munn, Orin Ruaine-Prattley and James Nokise.

You've read Raybon Kan going from lawyer to the country's funniest columnist over 31 years. You've watched Sameena Zehra hold power to account from Edinburgh to here. And you'll want to catch Mo Munn now, while she's still the Comedy Festival's reigning Spirit of the Festival winner — reviewers say she "draws laughs instead of blood." Now hear all three, plus Orin Ruaine-Prattley and James Nokise, in one room.
