But the FUNDAMENTALIST DRUIDS assure you that summer is just around a wintery corner.

The Winter Solstice is almost here, Matariki will rise, the shadows will shorten and the days lengthen

Come celebrate the turning of winter’s tide with us !!

8:30 am (yes the sun is up by then) Saturday 20 June 2025 at Lyall Bay Beach, Queens Drive end



Bring a towel, bring a friend, leave wet suits at home.

Dogs on leads please and there may be loud noises, flashing lights and skin!!

BUT we do need to address the “Elephant” in the water!!! , that  -at times- Lyall Bay is more like the “Costa Del Poo”.

This means in the interests of health and safety we shall attempt something never before attempted at a Solstice ceremony – to build a “human wave” for those brave souls in togs to charge into!! So please bring a clean plastic bucket!!!

 

As always the ocean is there to accept us, though how acceptable it will be……????
