Matariki at Johnsonville Shopping Centre

We are excited to invite you to a community celebration of Matariki at Johnsonville Shopping Centre.

5pm, Thursday 19th June. �

We have Kapa Haka performances and beautiful artwork on display from local schools, we will be holding a special gallery opening event to share the artwork, along with an interactive light installation, and activities for the kids including a Matariki star hunt with prizes, creative and reflective activities to keep the little ones entertained while learning about Matariki, and we are lucky enough to be able to show Matariki Kanohi Iti; a special selection of archival film from collection at Ngā Taonga Sound & Vision, that observes this year’s theme Matariki mā Puanga, Celebrating together.

Please bring your Whanau and come and celebrate together. �
The Centre is open till 7pm and the Food Court is open till 8pm.
