- **Event Description**: Since the release of Fruit Fly earlier this year, the novel has soared up bestseller lists around the world and been optioned for a TV series, cementing Josh Silver as one of the hottest voices in contemporary fiction.

Seven years ago, Mallory became a literary sensation. Now, after years of writer's block, she's determined to revive her career before it fades into obscurity. Desperate for a hit, she turns to Reddit for advice on writing a bestseller: go gay, go sad, go dark. When she meets Leo, a young queer man struggling with addiction, she begins writing his story, without his knowledge. But how far is she willing to go in pursuit of the perfect novel?

Join Josh Silver for a captivating evening discussing Fruit Fly, his engrossing new novel that explores ambition, identity and the ethics of telling other people's stories, in-conversation with curator and writer Tendai Mutambu.

Order your copy of Josh Silver’s novel, Fruit Fly, at Unity Books Wellington, who will be bookselling at this event.
