In 2004, Georgina Beyer, the first openly transgender Member of Parliament in the world, famously confronted members of Destiny Church during the Enough Is Enough rally on the grounds of Parliament.

Born in Wellington, Georgina went on to have an unprecedented local, national and international impact through her commitment to equality and her desire to give everyone the opportunity to reach their full potential in society.

Join Walk Tours NZ and Wellington City Libraries for Georgina Beyer - Diamonds are Forever a powerful one-hour seated presentation paying tribute to the late Georgina (1957–2023), presented at Te Matapihi ki te Ao Nui Central Library.
