Discover the World of Computers: An Essential Beginner's Guide


This 6-week ***FREE*** course is for absolute beginners; people who want to learn how to use a computer and how to get online to keep in touch with family/friends or get the best deals by shopping on the world wide web.

You're new to the world of computers and feeling overwhelmed by all the possibilities they offer? Don't worry, we're here to help!

We provide a step-by-step introduction to computer basics in beginner-friendly environments in the community.


In our welcoming and supportive workshops, we'll cover everything you need to know to get started - no prior experience required - just a bit of curiosity and a willingness to learn!


Course Dates:

Tuesday Mornings 10am - 12 noon

3 February - 10 March 2026


Here's what you can expect to learn:



About Your Computer

We'll start from square one, explaining the different parts of a computer and their functions. You'll gain a solid understanding of how it all works.



Keyboard and Mouse Made Easy

We'll show you the ins and outs of typing and how to navigate your computer using the mouse. Say goodbye to confusion and hello to newfound confidence!



Surfing the Web and Sending Emails

The internet is an incredible tool, and we'll show you how to make the most of it. Learn how to browse websites, search for information, and send emails to connect with others - all with ease and simplicity.



The Art of Secure Passwords

Keeping your personal information safe is crucial in today's digital landscape. We'll teach you how to create strong passwords and implement smart security practices to protect yourself online.


Our experienced instructors understand the challenges beginners face when venturing into the world of computers. They'll break down complex concepts into bite-sized, easy-to-understand lessons, and provide plenty of opportunities for hands-on practice.

By the end of this course, you'll feel empowered and able to use your computer with confidence!

Courses are delivered for the community by Telford-based social enterprise TECHWITHNOLIMITS C.I.C. with funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.


We welcome vulnerable adults on our courses and venues are accessible for those with disabilities.
