A Boy Called Piano - Development Season - Book Now!
From the creative team that brought you THE WHITE GUITAR comes a brave new work... A BOY CALLED PIANO takes a journey into the 1960's and the firsthand experiences of thousands of Māori and Pacific children in state care.
At a time when survivors have finally successfully petitioned the government for an inquiry into historical abuse in state care, this work is a cry of love to the past, present and future. In the words of Fa’amoana John Luafutu - on whose lived experiences the story is based: “Our history has to be faced. I hope telling the truth may set us free”.
Season dates: 22 - 30 November, 2019. BATS Theatre, 1 Kent Terrace
The Random Stage is fully wheelchair accessible.
