Together we weave the mat for future generations


Nau mai haere mai, all are welcome to attend Ōtari Raranga wānanga (classes). You will walk away with woven taonga at the end of every class. 
 

No experience is required and all materials are provided for your beginner classes. 


In your first class you will learn a variety of woven putiputi (flowers). If you choose to continue your learning, your next classes will teach you kōnae (2 corner basket) and kono (4 sided basket) in. On completion of those classes and with practice you will have the skills to move on to other raranga taonga.
