- **Event Description**: Shudan's Vlad Chamula, and friend of Shudan, Thomas Mearns, have kindly agreed to donate their time to support the "Get Matt to Japan" fundraising event, to send the club's newest black belt to study judo in Japan for a month.

All money raised from ticket sales at the event will go to the fund, and this seminar is not included as part of the Shudan Judo club membership packages.

Vlad Chamula has over forty years of wrestling experience, twenty professionally, representing both his country and the Slovakian army at high level.
His achievements include:
*Slovakian National Champion multiple times
*Silver medal World Army Championships
*Previously ranked number 20 in Europe, 25 in the world.
He is now studying judo and MMA.

Thomas Mearns is a very experienced grappler, where he ranks as a black belt competitor in No-Gi competition, and a brown belt in BJJ. He has competed in some of the biggest no-gi tournaments in Europe in the black belt division.
His achievements include:

British Open gi/White Belt/Middle Weight/ Won Bronze
Grappler's Showdown/ Middle Weight/ Won Gold
Grappler's Showdown/ Middle Weight/ Won Silver

Grappler's Quest gi/ Won Absolute Title Belt
British Open No gi/ Middle Weight/ Won Bronze
IBJJF London International Open gi/ Won Silver
He also has an extensive background in other martial arts, including Taekwondo, kickboxing, MMA.
