CEVAW networking session for GBV professionals in Niagara to connect, share insights, and strengthen referral relationships

About this Event

This 2.5-hour Coalition to End Violence Against Women (CEVAW) gathering brings together frontline staff and those in supervisory, coordination, or program leadership roles, working across gender-based violence (GBV) services in Niagara. Designed as a supportive, connection-focused space, the session emphasizes relationship-building, information sharing, and strengthening the informal networks that support effective collaboration and referrals across the GBV system.

Through facilitated, low-pressure activities, participants will meet new colleagues, gain insight into different roles and organizations across the system, and strengthen practical connections that help professionals work together more effectively when supporting people experiencing gender-based violence.



Who Should Attend

Frontline workers, coordinators, supervisors, and middle-management staff working in or alongside gender-based violence services, including:

  • Emergency shelters and crisis support
  • Outreach and community-based services
  • Health and mental health
  • Settlement and newcomer services
  • Housing and homelessness services
  • Child welfare, legal, and justice-adjacent services
  • Prevention, education, and systems coordination
