Moccasin Making Workshop – Craft Your Own Step in Tradition
Step into the art of tradition and create something truly special! In this immersive, hands-on workshop, you’ll make your very own pair of handcrafted moccasins from start to finish. Guided by Susan Hill, a Haudenosaunee Artisan from the Six Nations with over 45 years of experience, you’ll not only learn the practical steps of moccasin making, but also gain insight into the cultural significance and history behind this beautiful craft.
Over the course of the afternoon, you’ll work with high-quality materials, discover time-honoured stitching techniques, and experience the care and patience that goes into creating footwear meant to last. Susan will share her knowledge, stories, and tips, ensuring that each participant leaves with both a completed pair of moccasins and a deeper appreciation for this meaningful art form.
Whether you’re making them for yourself or as a heartfelt gift, your finished moccasins will be truly one-of-a-kind—infused with your own creativity and the wisdom of generations past.
