This is a chance for us to say thank you and for you to connect with the other Rangers and with program partners who are helping make this program such a success.What’s HappeningSnacks & drinks – We’ll keep things simple and cozy with some light refreshments.Program update – We’ll share what we’ve learned so far from the monitoring you’ve all been doing and what we've got planned for 2026.VAST Photo-point training – We've partnered with our friends at Swim Drink to use their Visual Assessment Survey Tool (VAST) for photo monitoring. They will provide an overview to help everyone feel comfortable with the photo-point monitoring process.Peristix and periplate pilot update - McMaster University will provide an overview of our first field season piloting the peristix and periplates to monitor nutrients in the Lake Erie basin.Socializing – Most of the event will be open for mingling, swapping stories, and getting to know each other.Your feedback – A key part of the program is piloting new equipment like our winter and E. coli testkits, and we want your feedback! Tell us what works, what doesn't, and your ideas for improving things!Who’s invited?All current, new and past Lake Erie Rangers volunteers from across the province! We are also inviting some of the partners on this project.Why come out?You’ve put time and care into monitoring Lake Erie, and this event is our way of showing how much that matters.
