Astanga Sadhana: A Practitioners' Program with Claudia Pradella & Eva Ugolini
Astanga Sadhana: A Practitioners' Program
With Claudia Pradella & Eva Ugolini
Explore the depths of your Yoga practice, according to the eight limbs of Astanga Yoga. This year-long program is for dedicated Astanga Yoga practitioners, who are already familiar with the traditional Mysore-style of self-practice and ready to expand the context of their Yoga Sadhana – spiritual practice.
Sadhana is a commitment to making our spiritual goals a priority and making time for them. We form our (spiritual) goal, then we find the means to accomplishing it - our practice is the path we travel to get there. Astanga Yoga – the eight limbs system presented by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras – becomes the road map we follow to explore our sense of self, to clear our perception of reality and ultimately to fulfil our goal, may that be happiness, liberation or simply a calmer mind and a healthier body.
This program provides a supporting structure for the dedicated Astanga Yoga practitioner to deepen his or her sadhana and to further explore who they really are at a deeper level of being, under the guidance of experienced teachers and following the traditional teachings presented by Patanjali.
What you will learn:
Over a period of nearly a year, you will form a much clearer view of your goals and the context for your Yoga Sadhana, your practice will develop and fine-tune to match your motivations and aspirations. Using a variety of techniques, you will become established in your morning routine (Meditation, Kriyas, Pranayama, Asana). You will gain an in-depth understanding of the Primary Series of the Astanga Yoga system, as taught by Sri K P Jois of Mysore, both in its traditional self-practice (Mysore) style and in its counted-through (led) format. You will be guided individually in your own practice directly by the teachers so that you can progress according to your own level of experience and capacity.
