9th Annual Lance Gulch/Levee Road Cleanup

Our 9th Annual Lance Gulch/Levee Road Cleanup is on for Saturday, November 1st, meeting at 10:00 a.m. at the Golden Age Center parking lot. If the weather does not cooperate, we will shoot for the following Saturday.

As always, we need all the volunteers we can muster. We will need people with vehicles to walk sections of Lance Gulch Road with bags and pickers, and we need people who are able to get down and dirty, go down the embankments and over the tailings and through the bushes to clean out abandoned camps along Weaver Creek and haul those heavy bags out to the vehicles.

We will have two trucks and trailers for dump runs, an ample supply of bags, pickers and gloves for volunteers, and there will be (mostly) healthy snacks and plenty of bottled water for everyone.

If you know of any specific places in the Lance Gulch Rd/Levee Rd area, please let us know either before or the day of the cleanup. Hopefully we will have another stellar turnout like we last year. I look forward to seeing everyone and meeting new "trashy friends" and to making a difference in our community.
