# Event Details - **Event Name**: "I Froze My Butt Off Shoot" - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 18 Jan, 2026 at 09:00 am – Sun, 18 Jan, 2026 at 02:00 pm - **Event Description**: Welcome Shooters to the 16th annual winter theme shoot. The purpose of the shoot is to fill in the doldrums of winter with fun, low-cost, not-much-on-prizes, you-get-braggin’- rights and a frozen-butt shooting match. Last year Mother Nature was pretty nice to us, sooooo cross your fingers for another great day. Its hard to believe we have been running these shoots well over a decade and half. We have to thank our members and you the shooter for their success. This year’s January shoot is going to be a steel challenge shoot with handguns on our Walking Pistol range and a very modified Cabin Fever Challenge Shoot with rifles on the Standing Deer range (100 yard range). You will carry all your gear, ie: firearms, loading devices, ammo, etc, on your person. You will need some way of hauling all your ammo and stuff to the Walking Pistol range as I doubt you will be able to drive there but you never know. You will need a packsack or haversack to carry ammo accessories etc. Naturally you will need a good holster (mandatory) for your handgun and ammo pouches for the Walking Pistol portion. Bring lots of a ammo. For the rifle you will be required to carry ammo on your person, so you will need pouches, deep pockets, belt loops, etc. Sling is not mandatory but desirable for safe transport of your gun from the car to the shooting pad. As with our other matches we will run shooters through the course throughout the day until we run out of shooters, weather turns on us, or we run out of time (1400 hours - 2PM the latest). How much snow Mother Nature dumps on us before the shoot will determine if we can use all or some of these ranges and courses of fire. As always we will provide lunch for the shooters and usually quit around 1130-1200 hours (cook’s choice) to eat. Please try to be there by 0830 for a safety briefing (if you cannot, you can still come, but hopefully not too late). We would like to promptly start shooting at 0900 hours. So grab your favorite “shootin’ irons” and head out to the Goffstown Fish and Game and freeze your butt off with us! General rules, dates, times, etc. are listed below. Date: Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 9 AM to end (2pm latest.) If the weather is really bad, the shoot will be cancelled. If weather is doubtful, please go to goffstownfishandgame.com to see if the shoot is still on.
