The Story Behind the Name:
Torbreck Vintners was founded in 1994 by David Powell, whose journey began far from the vineyards of Australia. In the early 1990s, Powell worked as a woodcutter in the Torbreck Forest near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands—a place that left a lasting impression. When he returned to the Barossa Valley to pursue winemaking, he named his new venture after the forest that shaped him. Today, Torbreck wines—many bearing Scottish-inspired names like The Steading and RunRig—embody the strength, character, and craftsmanship that bridge his Scottish past and Australian present.

Hosted in our Lake Street Dining Room, this one-night-only event invites guests to sip, savor, and celebrate the art of food and wine in true ninetwentyfive style.
