- **Event Description**: The Ellis A&M Club will be hosting an Amateur BBQ Competition at Railport Brewing Company. Contestants will compete in the Brisket competition and an optional Wild Card competition. Competitors will compete to win the title Pits of Fire Brisket Champion, People's Champion, and the Wild Card Champion. 

Contestants will begin check-in at 8:00 pm Friday, June 26, 2027, begin set-up at 8:30 pm Friday, June 26, 2027, and start their pits after that night's band concludes after 9:00 pm. 

The public is invited to help us choose the People's Champion by sampling the Briskets at 4:00 pm Saturday, June 27, 2026. Admission will be charged at the door.
