Event Date: Saturday, June 27th, 2026 Event Time: 8:00 AM – 4 PM Location: Nelson University Divisions U5, U6, U7, U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, HS, Men, Women, COED Tournament Format: Teams will be placed into groups of four when possible. Each team is guaranteed a minimum of three games during group play. The top teams will advance to knockout rounds, with championship matches before world cup games start. Roster Size: 3–6 players per team Game Format: 3v3, no goalkeepers Game Guarantee: Minimum 3 games per team Field Size: Small-sided fields, approximately 30x20 yards Team Fee: $220 per team (EARLY BIRD $180 ends June 13th) Awards: Division champions will receive medals and championship ceremony recognition. Each game is fast and short. Games will be played in two 8-minute halves, with a short break at halftime. If the game has a winner at the end of regulation, the game is over. If the game is tied, we go into the special TST Target Score Finish. What is Target Score? Target Score is what makes this tournament different and exciting. If the game is tied when time runs out, the clock stops. The referee sets a target score by adding one goal to the current score. Example: If the game is tied 3-3, the target score becomes 4. The first team to score and reach 4 goals wins. There is no clock during target score. The game keeps going until someone scores the winning goal. What happens if nobody scores? To make sure the game ends, players are removed over time. After every 1 minutes, each team removes one player. It starts as: -3v3 -Then becomes 2v2 -Then becomes 1v1 if needed This creates a sudden-death finish where the next goal wins. Basic Game Rules: -All restarts are indirect, which means you cannot score directly from the restart. -There are no throw-ins. Instead, players use kick-ins from the sideline. -Corner kicks are indirect. -Goal kicks are indirect. -Free kicks are indirect. -No slide tackling is allowed. -No dangerous play is allowed. -No fighting or referee abuse will be tolerated. This is a family-friendly tournament, and teams can be removed for poor sportsmanship. Group Stage Teams will start in group play. When possible, groups will have 4 teams. Each team plays 3 group games. Points are awarded like this: Win = 3 points Tie = 1 point Loss = 0 points The top teams from each group advance to the knockout rounds. Knockout Rounds After group play, qualifying teams move into elimination games. If you win, you keep playing. If you lose, you are out. Depending on the number of teams, knockout rounds may include quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship finals.
