TNC is working to conserve historic loblolly and longleaf pine forests and the variety of life they support across the Virginia Pinelands. With partners, we have started a groundcover & pollinator habitat restoration project to increase the pace and scale that native grasses and wildflowers spread, and we need your help!Volunteers must be comfortable walking in forested conditions and bending to collect seed.Please meet at our Waverly Office, 204 Coppahaunk Ave, Waverly, VA. We will meet here and then caravan to the collection site. Please wear long sleeve pants and shirts, and sturdy closed toes boots or shoes as the ground can be slippery or wet. Bring water, lunch and bug spray if desired.
