Waverly was selected as one of only five Iowa communities to participate in Iowa State University Extension and Outreach’s 2026 First Impressions Tourism and Community Assessment Program.

Over the past several months, trained assessors have visited Waverly anonymously, experiencing our community through the eyes of a first-time visitor. Their observations will help us understand what we’re doing well, where there may be gaps, and what opportunities exist to make Waverly even stronger.

Join us on October 21 to hear the results of the assessment and learn how Waverly is experienced from a visitor’s perspective.
