Please join us in a benefit honoring local hometown hero, Casey Piazza. Casey has devoted his life to service as the Assistant Fire Chief of the Waveland Fire Department and a dedicated Sheriff’s Deputy with the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, as well as a proud United States Veteran. As a Marine, he answered the call to serve his country. As a firefighter and law enforcement officer, he has continued that commitment by protecting and serving the people of our community. He has spent years running toward danger and standing in the gap for others. Now, he and his family are facing the unfathomable.
In October 2025, Casey was diagnosed with glioblastoma — an aggressive and devastating form of brain cancer. Over the last few months, he has undergone brain surgery, chemo, and radiation, and has been hospitalized numerous times — the physical, emotional, and financial strain is overwhelming. His greatest support and wife, Robin, needs to step away from work frequently to be able to provide care, attend appointments, and help navigate the road ahead. With the loss of income from Casey’s two jobs, combined with mounting medical expenses, this has created a heavy burden during an already unimaginable time.
Casey has ALWAYS shown up when others needed him — as a veteran, a first responder, and a leader. Now, let’s rally behind the Piazza family and help ease the financial burden. Come be part of a community united and stand with Casey and his family.
The event will host a jambalaya cook off, silent and live auctions, crawfish & other good food, and live music (to be announced).
