- **Event Description**: Join us for a rare late-night library program all about Wisconsin bats in this two-part, one night event on August 17! 

We’ll start our evening at MCPL Wausau with Bat Ambassadors who will give an informative presentation about the magnificent bats that share our environment here in Wisconsin. Then, they'll introduce equipment and strategies to interact with our flying mammal friends that evening. Follow us to Oak Island Park, and we will use provided specialized equipment to listen for bats flying through our urban landscape! 

Presentation: 7:00–7:45 p.m. upstairs in the Community Room
Guided walk: 8:00–8:45 p.m. at Oak Island Park near the tennis courts

You do not have to attend the presentation in order to join us for the bat walk, but it is strongly encouraged!

This free event is open to adults and young adults, with no registration required. In case of rain, the event will be moved to August 20 with the same times. For more information contact 715-261-7230.
