Bad Art Night

Think you have what it takes to create something truly hideous? Come to a judgement-free space for an evening of creativity, laughter, and awful art.

The Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters is throwing Bad Art Night: an evening of creating, a Bad Art Exhibition, and a contest to find who can craft the ugliest work. This free, no-registration-required event takes place on December 10 from 5:30-7 p.m.

Artists bring the bad ideas, and the library will supply free materials to bring ugly art to life! Participants will have 45 minutes to create a painting, sculpture, collage, etc.; you can even bring a few friends and craft something as a team of up to 4 people. Once creating is complete, we will put on a Bad Art Exhibition where everyone can browse magnificent disasterpieces and vote on their favorites. The top-selected artist(s) of the night will receive an art-themed prize.
