The event will consist of an open house social event where Veterans are free to network and mingle with other veterans while enjoying some donated snacks, beverages, and lunch (while supplies last). Resource tables from various Veterans organizations will be present, as well as service dogs. There will be a free open shoot and shooting competition (rifle only). All Veterans will receive a door prize ticket when they arrive, and at noon, we will be drawing the winners of numerous prizes, including a rifle.
The social portion of the event does not require pre-registration, and you do not need to participate in the shooting to attend. Please feel free to come join us during the event to network, obtain resources, and enjoy some free food.
All shooting participants must pre-register, bring their own rifle, and ammunition. The rifle competition will be scored in three different categories: Iron Sights, non-magnified optics, and magnified optics. Accommodations can be made for Veterans with disabilities if requested ahead of time. If you are interested in the open shoot but don’t have your own rifle, limited rifles/optics may be provided for use if requested. This event will be a rifle-only event, designed around modern military style rifles. Please leave all other firearms at home. DCSO will provide eye and ear protection to those in need.
