When "Government Systems" slow down and families are left waiting for help not knowing when it's coming — we have to show up! - If you know me, you know I'm all for helping and supporting the kids, the youth, and my community.
Gerdy’s Gourmet Popcorn, in partnership with Jewel-Osco, is leading a movement to fill the gap for our "Neighbors in need" through “When Systems Fail, We Serve: Lunch on the Spot.”
Jewel-Osco has generously donated 50 packs of hot dogs totaling 400) and 50 packs of buns (totaling 400 )to help us provide a warm lunch to residents of Northern Lake County who continue to face food insecurity and limited access to essential resources.
This initiative was born from compassion and community — a response to the REALITY that many families, especially women and children, are struggling due to halted assistance and dwindling support programs.

We’re calling on community leaders, churches, small businesses, and organizations to join us.
Donations and supplies needed include:
Fresh fruit
Chips
Bottled water
Gatorade or juice boxes for kids
Non-perishable food items
Hot dogs will be boiled on-site and served with warm buns — a simple gesture to remind our neighbors that we’re in this together.
We currently have two crock pots and need two more to prepare food on-site. If you can lend a crock pot or donate items, please contact us.
