🍂 Family Friendly Art Social: Intro to Batik Art – Autumn Themed 🍂
Discover the magic of Watercolor Batik, a creative process where hot wax is applied to delicate rice paper to resist paint, allowing rich layers of watercolor to build luminous textures and patterns. This technique creates stunning effects — from soft color washes to bold, crackled lines — that give each piece a unique character.
Guided by artist Michael McConville, you’ll learn step-by-step how to use wax and watercolor together to craft your own autumn-inspired batik artwork. Experiment with patterns, color blends, and organic textures that capture the vibrant spirit of fall.
