Join us for WAUKEE WALKS! (See registration link in comments)
Saturday, April 4
Join us for a FREE 1-mile walk open to everyone in Waukee! We’ll start the walk at 9 a.m. in Centennial Park, stroll the loop together, and finish right before Waukee's annual Easter egg hunt — perfect timing before the candy rush!
Fuel up before or after you walk with two awesome food trucks! These trucks will be available from 8-11 a.m.:
• Traveling Tom’s Coffee
• The Donut Den
Why WAUKEE WALKS?
This event is sponsored by the Waukee School District PTO. We haven’t hosted a fundraiser in nearly 10 years, and while this walk is totally free, a portion of food truck sales, free will donations, and optional apparel purchases will help support District PTO expenses throughout the year.
Why April 4?
April 4 is just a few days after "National Take a Walk Day," the American Heart Association's National Walking Day encouraging movement for heart health.
More details coming soon!
Registration is recommended to help us prepare for the event. Stay tuned for registration details and information on how to purchase apparel!
Bring your family, invite friends, and support the District PTO! Hope to see you there!
