The Watkins Glen Public Library is excited to offer a 7-part Reading &amp; Discussion Series in partnership with Schuyler County Historian Dr. Gary Emerson on Understanding the American Revolution. 

This engaging and educational program is designed to commemorate the United States' semi-quincentennial and to foster thoughtful dialogue about the historical and contemporary significance of the American Revolution. It invites participants to explore a range of selected readings that present a more inclusive view of the Revolutionary era. 

By incorporating diverse perspectives, the program will challenge participants to consider the multifaceted legacy of a period that helped shape the foundation of our nation. Dr. Emerson will provide historical context and lead thoughtful discussions, encouraging community members to reflect not only on what happened during the Revolution but also on how those events continue to resonate today. 

- All selected titles will be provided.
- Participants are not required to attend all 7 discussions. 
- Must register for each session individually with the library.
- Dr. Emerson has provided selections to read from each book.
